Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actress and producer best recognized for her roles played in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She earned an B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, producer as well as an American actor active in the theatre in film, television, and theatre. Her career began as an actress in theatre but then proceeded to appear in many television series, mainstream and independent films. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she received critical acclaim and a variety of awards and nominations, among them an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. In 1995 she debuted in the role of Ariel on stage in The Tempest. The stage credits she has received include The Broadway show of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In her film career her most well-known roles are performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. She is also well-known for her character on ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
